Hello dear reader! How are you? I hope you enjoy this article about Cebu To Bantayan Island.
In the summer of 2020, I went back again to The Philippines (my favorite country) with my Filipina wife and my parents and I´m writing this now while I desire to go again even I can´t…fuck this COVID-19! Cebu To Bantayan Island!
How to go from Cebu To Bantayan Island?
Firstly, let me share some airlines you can use to go to The Philippines if you are in a near country or to travel to Cebu City if you are not there yet.
My favorite two airlines are Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Air. Travel from Cebu To Bantayan Island
Once in Cebu City, your objective will be to reach the Hagnaya Port and for that, you need to take a bus to Cebu North Bus Terminal. This North Terminal is at Subangdaku, in Mandaue City. Cebu To Bantayan Island!
Of course, this is not the only way to go to Hagnaya Terminal Ferry. If you want to spend more money just rent a private van, go for it, but it cost like 10 times higher than the bus.

The ticket for the bus with aircon cost us 235 pesos each. Normally people pay it once inside the bus, already on the trip. After about 4 hours, it will be time to stand in line, pay the ferry ticket (185 PHP, at that moment), and the terminal fee (around 10 PHP).
Once on the Ferry, getting to Bantayan takes approximately 1 hour. Cebu To Bantayan Island
On Bantayan Island, I recommend you to stay in the Santa Fe zone, near MJ Square and Kota Beach so your trip will be more enjoyable.
Now… part of our trip! Cebu To Bantayan Island
We loved this island so much that we would return every year if possible! Cebu To Bantayan Island
Bantayan is like the Boracay of Cebu and lets me tell you that I loved and still love Boracay but… this, in my opinion, is better, because you can even get the fishing boats on the beaches, and interact with them and buy them food.
We will show you some places you really MUST GO. Cebu To Bantayan Island
OBOOB MANGROVE GARDEN / ECO – PARK
This eco-park was the first place we went, and I really felt like a boy scout there. If you are one of the people who like to love nature and walk, this place is perfect for you. Cebu To Bantayan Island
The park has places to rest and even feed fish.

Sandira Beach (also known as Paradise Beach)
Before reaching that beach, I kept thinking about why Sandira beach would be called Paradise beach, but once there, the doubts were cleared.
Bantayan Cliff Jumping Spot. Cebu To Bantayan Island
OF COURSE NOT…I don’t wanna die here so I didn’t jump hehe. I don’t like heights, but I love to seat out the window on a plane…that’s strange.
Ogtong Cave and Ogtong Cave Resort
The truth is that before coming here I thought the cave would be big but not really, it’s a small cave to hang out and enjoy, in the middle of an incredible resort where you have to pay 200 Philippine pesos to enter.
Once you pay the entrance fee, the resort allows you to use the pool, enter the cave, and enjoy the stunning beach.
We, together with my family and my wife’s family, were staying in another resort but when we met this place we decided to move to sleep here in the family rooms with a private pool.
One of the things that caught my attention was that when night came, the floor of the resort was filled with snails walking everywhere, on the grass. I’ve never seen them in my life before, just their shells.
Look at this short video!!
Saints Peter and Paul Parish Church
I’m not a big fan of churches really, but this one really impressed me and I would visit again.
This church, reminded me of my trip to Rome, Italy, when I went to the Vatican museum with my family, in which there is a beautiful gallery where the entire ceiling is a great work of art. Cebu To Bantayan Island is a great trip!
Bantayan Island is the first parish to be established in Cebu. It was founded by the Augustinians in 1580, on June 11.
The ceiling of this church has been painted with Biblical images as part of the Dibuho Kisame project by the parish.
Butterfly Garden. Cebu To Bantayan Island
It is the third butterfly garden I went to and the one I liked the most despite being the smallest!
There are 352 butterfly species in The Philippines. I like them because they don’t bite or sting.
Do you want to know something incredible about butterflies?… butterflies fly between 6 and 50 km/h.
